The Oak Inside the Acorn

Every one of us was created by God for a special purpose.

Written by Max Lucado, The Oak Inside the Acorn teaches about the incredible miracle inside each of us. The story follows a sweet little acorn as it becomes a big, strong oak tree. Readers will cheer on the growing tree when it can't grow oranges like the orange tree or flowers like the rose bush. Children will read with wonder as the tree grows empty branches, and later a very special purpose is revealed.

This inspiring picture book for ages 6 to 10 shows that all of God's creations have purpose and contribute to the well-being of others, that growing into all God created us to be takes patience and time, and that God has a plan through life's ups and downs.

It makes a lovely bedtime story, a read-aloud for story time, and a meaningful gift for a baptism, baby dedication, adoption, or graduation.
