18 Days in Heaven

Gabe Poirot recounts the near-death experience that reshaped his understanding of eternity.

At twenty years old, Gabe Poirot flatlined after a catastrophic accident. Doctors revived him, but he remained in a coma for eighteen days. His account of what he experienced during that time became the story told in 18 Days in Heaven.

Gabe describes an encounter with Jesus and the sights, sounds, and experiences he remembers. He explores questions about what happens after death, the nature of Heaven, personal identity, answered prayer, and suffering.

Through a life review that he describes as marked by mercy rather than condemnation, Gabe shares the understanding of God’s love that emerged from his experience.

The book presents his personal testimony for Christian readers considering eternity, grief, and the fear of death. It invites readers into the story of the accident, the long coma, and the faith that followed.
