A bit stereotypical in the beginning? Yes. But that was resolved. Gripping once the action really got going? Absolutely so.

I enjoyed this series, and this book was my favorite of the three of them. Jade was an extremely sympathetic character, and her daughter Dez was enjoyable and entertaining. The scenes with Sapphire (the villain) were delightfully creepy. I’m sad to see this series end!

Frost HeavesJade was giving her testimony at the church when her daughter is kidnapped. She has a very hard past, one that her daughter was born from. She is very glad to have her daughter though. The book is very exciting, kept me interested from start to finish. I love books with children in it. They are so cute. Jade is so brave. I have read this book before but it is good enough to read again.I received a complimentary copy of the book from Celebrate Lit. This book review is my own opinion.

My Thoughts on Frost Heaves:Frost Heaves is another knock it out of the park novel by author Alana Terry. I’ve loved every book of hers I’ve read and this is no different. This book sucks you in. You cannot put it down. Your life depends on you continuing to turn the pages of this book until it’s over. Wow.I loved this book. It’s a great suspense read that is also a quick read. The characters are full of personality and I couldn’t help but fall in love with Dez and her very active little m

Another wonderful, suspenseful mystery by Alana Terry! When Jade gives her testimony at church about being part of and leaving a cult, she doesn't realize that her days under the influence of the cult are far from over. Afterwards, she goes in search of her young daughter and cannot find her, dropping her into every parents worst nightmare of trying to discover what happened to her missing daughter.I was terrified with Jade as she puts aside her distrust of law enforcement to work with a state

Long Time AC

There are a good many books dealing with cults of late so let's talk about why I like this one. It's realistic as much as possible. Jade is a Christian, with a daughter, but she was in a cult. When her daughter is threatened, she doesn't react thinking isn't what most people might expect. However, that doesn't mean she isn't reacting, but I felt that it adds up because of the cult background. That kind of brainwashing isn't going to cause rational actions as seen by the rest of the world. So De

From the start the tension grips you, builds and squeezes tightly until the end! Frost Heaves is a real page-turner with plenty of surprises and characters you’ll love and some you’ll love to hate! The Alaskan setting provides an increased uniqueness to the unfolding drama. True to her special style, author Alana Terry brings a message of hope and tried-and-true Christian faith to this story. Highly enjoyable, memorable and recommended!Disclaimer: I received a complimentary copy of this book
