Warning signs of financial abuse in a marriage:
You aren't allowed to have money in your own name.
You are not employed outside of the home because your husband will now allow it.
You don't have any freedom to spend money without having to ask permission.
You're scared to ask for money or for information about your financial situation.
Your spouse's spending feels out of control, puts your family's well-being at risk, and feels like it could be an addictive behavior that you have to cover for.

Dear God,
We thank you for providing for our families financially. Help us to examine ourselves and reveal any areas where we are acting in an unloving way in financial partnerships.
For the woman who is struggling in a financial partnership, we ask you to place people in her life to help her work through solutions to the problem, provide the perfect timing to talk about it with her partner, and give her the backbone of Abigail if it’s necessary to provide for her household.
Give us the motivation, energy and wisdom to do exactly what you’re calling us to today to glorify you in our homes!
