Almighty God,
As we embark on a new year, we pray that you would bring to mind the things in our lives that are holding us back. Help us to recognize what about those things we can change and what we can't.
For the things we can change, give us energy and motivation to make the needed changes to move us forward. In the things we can't, give us the faith to hand them over to you in prayer, trusting you have our absolute best in mind.
We thank you for the peace that comes from knowing that you've already gone before us this year. We pray it will be the best year yet, and that you will be at the center.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
