Should Women Pray in Church?
Do women pray differently from men, and have unique gifts to bring to church gatherings?
What has your experience been with women praying in church? In this week's in-person edition of the Praying Christian Women podcast, Alana and Jaime discuss some of their experiences (and maybe even some strong opinions!) about the importance of women being encouraged to pray at church gatherings.
You’ll also learn several secrets for how to tap into the unique gifts of womanhood to help you pray with more confidence and power. Join us today!
Prayer strengths of women:
Women pray differently from men, and although each of our prayer lives are as unique as we are, there are some common prayer strengths women in general bring to the table.
-
The Mama Bear Instinct: Whether you're a mother or not, women seem to be equipped with a natural "mama bear" instinct that comes out when we're fighting for someone or something we care deeply about.
-
Emotions: In general, women tend to be more in tune with their emotions than their male counterparts. Tapping into our emotions can not only point us in the direction of prayer burdens, but stoke the prayer-fire within to enable us to pray with passion and purpose!
-
Intuition: You've heard of "a woman's intuition"? That sixth sense can be used to intercede with greater discernment and accuracy, picking up on unspoken needs in a way that men can't always do.
-
Nurturing Prayers: If you're a nurturer as many women are, you can use this to your advantage. While Mama Bear prayers are fierce and powerful, nurturing prayers tend to be more long-term - though just as powerful! Tap into your nurturing instincts to identify people and issues God is calling you to come alongside for the long haul.

Our prayer for you today ...
Dear God,
Thank you for the gift of womanhood. We pray that you'll give us the confidence to use our gifts in the Church to reflect your image, to bring glory to yourself, and to encourage the next generation of women with godly examples of strong, praying women.
We pray for our church leaders, that they would be encouraging men and women alike to pray in church gatherings. We pray for a new generation of prayer warriors to be raised up, to accomplish immeasurably more than we could ever hope for, or even imagine!
Amen.
